Jeffrey Sachs to Serve as Expert at Open Dialogue Sessions of National Centre “Russia”
Moscow – American economist, professor, and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development at Columbia University Jeffrey Sachs will participate as an expert at the Open Dialogue “Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth” at the National Centre “Russia”.The international Open Dialogue project “Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth” will be held at the National Centre “Russia” from April 28 to 30, 2025. The event will bring together experts from leading global analytical centres, development institutions, higher education, government institutions, business associations, youth organisations, science, and journalism.
Participants of the open dialogue will develop unified approaches to ensure global economic growth. The event will also include authors of the best essays from 42 countries, selected by the National Centre “Russia” expert council. The program for the Open Dialogue “Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth” is published on the National Centre “Russia” website and is available to everyone in Russian, English, Chinese, Arabic, and Portuguese. Over three days, discussions at the National Centre will focus on four key vectors of global economic development:
- “Investment in People”;
- “Investment in Technology”;
- “Investment in Connectivity”;
- “Investment in Environment”.
On the first day, April 28, preliminary pitching sessions among essayists will be held in working groups across the four thematic areas. On April 29, as part of the “Presentation of the Future World,” top global experts will address participants, followed by panel pitching sessions featuring the best essay authors and experts. Jeffrey Sachs will participate in a series of pitching sessions on April 29 and 30. The international expert in international relations will listen to and comment on the essay authors participating in the event’s second day. The final session of the Open Dialogue “Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth” will take place on April 30.
The event will be moderated by Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation. The session will summarise the results of previous days’ work with the best essayists, top speakers, and international experts. Following the Open Dialogue, a report will be prepared and submitted to St. Petersburg Economic Forum 2025 participants. The events of the first and second days of the Open Dialogue are open to all interested parties who complete preliminary registration on the National Centre “Russia” website in the “Open Dialogue” section. To participate in the Open Dialogue and learn about economic development trends firsthand, registration on the website is required by April 24.
The National Centre “Russia” was established by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to preserve the legacy of the International Exhibition-Forum “Russia” and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens permanently. Federal authorities, state companies, corporations, and regions work in the centre. The National Centre “Russia” is located at 14 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Moscow. The Centre is open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day except Monday.
